Travel to the action, immerse yourself photography, shoot rarities, visit ‘bucket list’ destinations, experience the thrill of the chase, learn from specialists all over the world, enjoy a fantastic social scene… There really is nothing like it.

COAP has decades of professional experience in delivering aviation photography, whether it’s a professional and enthusiast engagement across military air arms and commercial operators, visiting airshows or conducting air-to-air photography sorties.

These operations are strictly for photographers and are dedicated to spending quality time in the best vantage points, often executed with local knowledge and experience in place, and sometimes working towards a specific end result for our hosts.

Such visits may include a Workshop tutorial or have a Masterclass built into them, whereby aircrew or specialist aviation photographers will present to the group in a relaxed, interactive format.

The EW Extreme operations include travel off the beaten track, and are more suited to the dedicated photographer that loves the thrill of the chase. They offer a chance to travel with pro aviation shooters, with in-country experience and local contacts, which otherwise may be too daunting or difficult to achieve. Not for the faint-hearted, you never know what you are going to get on the adventure, but if you do come away with results they will surely be of the highest and rarest quality.

    A structured photographic visit to the main outside shooting locations during anniversary celebrations, led by professional aviation photographers.

    LOCATION: Bangladesh: AF Anniversary
    SUBJECT: The prime photographic location outside a main air base in Bangladesh during anniversary operations, under the guidance of pro shooters with experience of in-country operations.
    DATE: 11-19 December 2017

    Bangladesh: Exotic Wings overview
    COAP's Exotic Wings excursions are not traditional Assignments. They involve travel to all corners of the globe, off the beaten track. They offer a chance to travel with pro aviation shooters, with in-country experience and local contacts, which otherwise may be too daunting or difficult to achieve. Not for the faint-hearted, you never know what you are going to get on the adventure, but if you do come away with results they will surely be of the highest and rarest quality. Ideal for photographers that want something different and love the thrill of the chase.

    You will be in a prime location to shoot Bangladesh AF types taking off and recovering during the anniversary celebrations.

    TIMETABLE

    DAY 1: Monday 11th December
    Between 10:30 and 11:15 please check-in with Qatar Airlines who operate out of Terminal 4 at London’s Heathrow Airport. Then meet Steve Comber of COAP, and fellow photographers, who will be gathering adjacent to the check-in area. Latest check-in time advised by the airline is 3 hours prior to departure, i.e. 11:15.

    DAY 2: Tuesday 12th October
    Doha, arrives 23:59
    On arrival we follow the signs for Transit/Transfer Passengers/Connecting Flights and proceed to the departure gate of our onward flight to Dhaka; boarding should commence around 01:45.

    Arrives Dhaka 10:10

    After Immigration Control, Baggage Reclaim and Customs and enter the Arrivals Hall and meet fellow travellers. Using the hotel’s complimentary coach shuttle service we transfer to the nearby hotel.

    DAY 3: Wednesday 13th December
    The first day of coverage of the Bangladesh AF aircraft operating from Dhaka for the national flypast. We will undertake photography around the operations, which will need to remain flexible.

    DAY 4: Thursday 14th December
    A repeat of the above, allowing for weather and operational shifts.

    DAY 5: Friday 15th December

    A repeat of the above, allowing for weather and operational shifts. We may also transfer to Chittagong on this day, depending on the success of the first two days. if so, this will require the booking and separate cost of an internal flight. This will be undertaken and discussed with COAP once in-country.

    DAY 6: Saturday 16th December
    The final day of flypast operations.
    Transfer to the airport using the hotel’s courtesy shuttle service and check in with Qatar Airlines for your flight to Doha; latest recommended check-in time is 3 hours prior to departure: 16:00.

    Transfer for onward flight to London.

    Day 7: Sunday 17th December
    Doha, Flight QR009, departs 01:55
    Arrives Heathrow Terminal 4, 06:20
