Air-to-Air

Bringing you the best experience in aviation photography…

The ultimate in aviation photography…

Air-to-air is the pinnacle of the aviation photography but it requires hours of preparation, briefings and safety procedures. COAP has hundreds of air-to-air flight hours, with the team being amongst the most experienced in-flight photographers in the business and you can join specific photo sorties with everything from fast jets, classic jets and warbirds!

Here you will find our operations that offer air-to-air photography, whether it’s a standalone shoot with a warbird or classic jet, the tailored support of an airshow or a Workshop on how to get the results.

These shoots will see you board a certified aircraft/operator and work in small groups inside a cameraship such as a Shorts Skyvan, Cessna Caravan or Beech Bonanza in fully briefed, safely and professionally executed sorties specifically for aerial photography.

We travel all over the world undertaking these operations, and they are offered either as dedicated COAP events or in tandem with one of our network of operators and professional shooters.

If you want to know what the experience is like, read our blog posts by clicking the button below.
Enjoy the ride!

We are proud to operate with the best in the business…

Working in tandem with 3G Aviation Media, this is an opportunity not to be missed! The programme will start on Friday 24th with a full set of briefings on safety and instruction as well as a Workshop on creative air-to-air photography.
World-renowned aviation photographer Scott Slocum will provide instruction on both the creative and practical portions of air-to-air photography, equipping you for the incredible flights ahead. He will also be your personal photo pilot and instructor on Saturday 25th, setting you up for photographic success as only he can do!

OPTIONAL EXTRA No1: PHOTO EDITING WORKSHOP 26th February
Price: $100 when purchased with the Air-to-Air Workshop ($149 stand alone).

Want to take your aviation images to the next level? This fun, interactive and informative Workshop will kick off with pro shooters walking you through several editing techniques. Example images from their portfolios will show you how the RAW image file from your camera can be manipulated to tell the story that your images are meant to tell.
After working with attendees on their images for part of the morning, the tutors will then demonstrate several ways to manage your images, using Adobe Lightroom and other archiving software, ensuring that you can find that favourite image of yours quickly! They will also share techniques for prepping your images for print... After all, those images aren't intended to just sit on your hard drive for years to come, they belong on your walls!
Throughout the six hours of instruction, you will receive personalised instruction and assistance with applying concepts and techniques to YOUR images to bring forth YOUR photographic vision. This is not a class in how to create images that mimic the styles of other photographers, but rather a class to make you comfortable with the tools that can bring forth YOUR style from the images YOU photographed!
