Air-to-Air

Bringing you the best experience in aviation photography…

The ultimate in aviation photography…

Air-to-air is the pinnacle of the aviation photography but it requires hours of preparation, briefings and safety procedures. COAP has hundreds of air-to-air flight hours, with the team being amongst the most experienced in-flight photographers in the business and you can join specific photo sorties with everything from fast jets, classic jets and warbirds!

Here you will find our operations that offer air-to-air photography, whether it’s a standalone shoot with a warbird or classic jet, the tailored support of an airshow or a Workshop on how to get the results.

These shoots will see you board a certified aircraft/operator and work in small groups inside a cameraship such as a Shorts Skyvan, Cessna Caravan or Beech Bonanza in fully briefed, safely and professionally executed sorties specifically for aerial photography.

We travel all over the world undertaking these operations, and they are offered either as dedicated COAP events or in tandem with one of our network of operators and professional shooters.

If you want to know what the experience is like, read our blog posts by clicking the button below.
Enjoy the ride!

We are proud to operate with the best in the business…

  • Assignment #6

An extremely prestigious opportunity to shoot on NATO’s frontline during the Baltic Air Policing mission at Siauliai, Lithuania. This Assignment will embed you into the nations on live QRA BAP missions to protect the airspace of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania and will involve a full spectrum of coverage of the role and operations of this vital NATO ally and the infrastructure of Siauliai air base. The end result will be an e-book produced for the Lithuanian AF to showcase the commitment of the men and women of Siauliai’s to NATO and the role of the base in the BAP mission.

    ASSIGNMENT SUMMARY
    LOCATION: Siauliai air base, Lithuania
SUBJECT: The operations of the Baltic Air Policing mission, including the full infrastructure of Siauliai air base
    DATE: Sep/Oct 2015
    PRICE: To Follow
    CAPACITY: 10x photographers
INCLUDES: Flights, transfers, hotel (B&B basis), transport and driver, Workshops, book production, plus all logistics, booking & admin.

    NATO FRONTLINE: Overview
The Baltic Air Policing mission has in operation for the last 11 years but it has arguably never been as important as during the current East-West tensions.

A total of 14 nations have deployed to Siauliai to undertake the BAP mission, which generally sees four jets standing on QRA for a four-month period and, in the current political climate, a further nation acting as a support to the lead deployment. Further assets are also deployed to Estonia and Poland to protect NATO’s eastern flank. Hungary is set to undertake its first BAP mission during this period, with 4x Gripens, and is likely to be augmented by Norwegian AF F-16s.

The Assignment will cover the full spectrum of operations at Siauliai, an ex-Soviet AF base that has been drastically modernised to support the role. The men and women and all major components of the base will be included in our coverage, as well as of course the jets themselves, towards an e-book that will showcase the work undertaken by Siauliai in Lithuania’s commitment to NATO. This PR tool will consist of COAP images and will be put together during Workshops in the evening (when not on night shoots on the base).

This Assignment is authorised for air-to-air photography (operational, technical, and weather caveats apply).
